1. Product Category (Categorizing products) – Adding Category & Sub-Category

To organize products systematically:

1. Navigate to Product -> Categories -> Add—
2. input category details, including category code (HSN code). elect 

“Add as sub taxonomy” and choose the parent category for sub-categories.

1. Products Management – Adding Products

To add products:

1. Go to Products -> Add Products.
2. Provide details like Product Name, Brand, Units, Category, Sub-category, SKU, Barcode Type, and more.
3. Specify whether the product is for sale or not.
4. Set Alert Quantity and Manage Stock Preferences.
5. Select applicable taxes and define product type (Single, Variable, Combo).

 Single Product: Ideal for items with no variations. Enter default price, profit margin, and selling price details.

Variable Product: This is used for products with variations like size or color. Define variations and set purchase and selling prices accordingly.

Combo or Bundle Product: Combine multiple products into one bundled product. Manage stock based on individual product quantities.

Click “Save” to finish.

1. Product Units – Adding Units

Manage product units by going to -> Units. Add units with names, short names, and decimal preferences. This is useful for products sold or purchased in different units.

1. Lot Number – Enabling Lot Number

Enable lot numbers from Settings -> Business Settings -> Purchases. When adding stock, input lot numbers for traceability. Display lot numbers in invoices for clarity.

1. Product Expiry and Related Settings – Enabling Expiry for Products

Enable product expiry in Settings -> Business Settings -> Products. Choose between directly adding the item’s expiration or the manufacturing date and expiration period. Set actions for expired products and select stock accounting methods.

Stock Expiry Report: Access through Reports -> Stock Expiry Reports. Modify stock left and expiry period as needed.

Stock Expiry Alert: You can view alerts on the homepage. In Business Settings, you can set the number of days for the alert.

1. Variations – Adding Variations

Add variations from Products -> Variations. These are essential for Variable Products with different attributes.

1. Deleting Products – Deleting Products

Deleting products is straightforward, but note that it won’t work if there are related transactions. Review the error messages for guidance.

1. Correcting Product Stock Mis-Match – Correcting Errors in Stock

Address errors in sold and purchased quantities through the URL www.your-website.com/reports/product-stock-details. Select the business location, identify mismatches, and click “Fix” for each product.

1. Duplicate Product – Duplicating Products

Save time by duplicating products with the same data. Useful for streamlining repetitive data entry.

1. Printing Labels – Printing Labels

Print labels from various screens: Products Sidebar menu, View Products, or List Purchases. Customize label details and preview before printing.

1. Product Warranty – Enabling Warranty

Enable warranty in Settings -> Business Settings -> Products. Add warranty types and assign them to products. Display warranty in receipts as needed.

1. Selling Price Groups – Adding Selling Price Groups

Go to Products -> Selling Price Group to add price groups like Retail, Wholesale, or Location-specific prices. Assign these groups to products for flexible pricing.

1. Import Products – Importing Products

Efficiently import products by going to Products -> Import Products. Download the template, fill in the details, and import the file. Ensure units are present in the system to address common errors like UNIT not found.

1. Bulk Edit Products – Bulk Editing Products

Streamline editing by going to Products -> List Products. Select products, click “Bulk Edit,” and modify multiple products simultaneously.
